Changing Lives Through Science
Dr. Jeremy T. Mathis, a 2003 engineering graduate and nationally recognized chemical engineering expert, recently met with students and faculty in the College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics to speak about the challenges and the vision for chemical engineering research and education that will guide the profession for the next 30 years.
Dr. Mathis is the director of the Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology (BCST) at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine in Washington, D.C. The BCST works with chemistry and chemical engineering experts to provide the highest quality scientific and technical advice to the nation’s lawmakers.
Dr. Timothy Hall, Dean of the College, also serves on the BCST.
