Academy Overview

The 2025 Summer Engineering Exploration and Research Academy at McNeese State University offers high school students entering 9th through 12th grades an exciting two-week research experience using state-of-the-art university equipment.

Meeting for one week in June and one week in July, students will explore different engineering disciplines, including robotics, civil, electrical, and chemical engineering through hands-on projects led by McNeese professors.

HIGHLIGHTS

WEEK 1: Learn about Robotics in the morning (8 AM - 11:30 AM) and Structural Engineering in the afternoon (1 PM - 4:30 PM).
WEEK 2: Learn about Electricity Basics in the morning (8 AM - 11:30 AM) and Chemical Engineering in the afternoon (1 PM - 4:30 PM).
Learn from McNeese Engineering Professors.
Eat lunch each day in the McNeese cafeteria.
Leave with a McNeese Certificate of Achievement.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY

Transportation to and from campus.
