McNeese student interns featured in Imperial Calcasieu Museum art exhibit

Six McNeese State University visual arts students are being recognized for their hard work and support as interns at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum with an exhibit, “Budding Talents,” from May 3 – June 8 in the Gibson-Barham Gallery.
This diverse collection of artwork opens with a public reception 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the museum. Featured artists are Stefan Borssen, Chance Deville, Kathy Geymann, Kelly Lavergne, Alex Pate and Shelby Roberie.
“We wished to thank our interns for their hard work and support during their internships by extending them the opportunity to showcase their artworks here at the museum,” said Susan Reed, the museum’s executive director. Interns did everything from the installing of exhibits to the framing of art and working museum events.
