McNeese Senior Recital Scheduled

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior recital by Ashley Traughber, soprano, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Tritico Theatre.
The program includes: “The Morning” by Thomas Arne; “An eine Äolsharfe” and “Es hing der Reif” by Johannes Brahms; “Kommt ein schlanker Bursch gegangen” by Carl Maria Von Weber; “Métamorphoses” by Francis Poulenc; “Tutti i fior?” by Giacomo Puccini; “Sigh No More Ladies” and “Virgo: The Virgin” by Geoffrey Bush and “The Silver Aria” by Douglas Moore.
Traughber is a vocal performance major and has performed for the Moores School of Music, the Houston Grand Opera, the Lone Star Music Festival, the Fort Bend Theatre, KC Productions and the McNeese Theatre. Her many performances include “The Magic Flute,” “Legally Blonde The Musical,” “Footloose The Musical,” “ Kiss Me Kate,” “Rock of Ages” and “Sweeney Todd The Musical.” She is also a winner of several National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions.
