McNeese Radio to Present “It’s A Wonderful Life”

McNeese State University’s radio station KBYS 88.3 FM will present the beloved American holiday classic, “It’s A Wonderful Life,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, with rebroadcasts at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, and 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The production is a collaboration between McNeese and the Lake Charles Little Theatre. The broadcast will feature local figures and talents in the cast, including Tom Hoefer and Heather Partin, who will re-create their lead roles of George and Mary Bailey from the 2005 production as a post-Hurricane Rita relief benefit. Local announcers will read “news” of the 1940s during intermission and “commercials” for famous local businesses of yesteryear will be featured throughout the broadcast.
“It’s A Wonderful Life” tells the story of idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.
