McNeese Hosts Neonautica Concert
McNeese State University’s W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts welcomes Neonautica in concert on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. in the Tritico Theatre.
Neonautica is an avant-pop duo, singer Megan Ihnen and saxophonist Alan Theisen, that creates sound worlds that are ancient and futuristic, funky and fragile by combining experimental music, multiple pop genres and theatre.
With influences that include Björk, Sun Ra, CloZee and Ligeti, Neonautica performances have been praised as “a fresh look at what it means to be artists in the 21st century.” Microtones, hip hop beats, prog rock, jazz, silences, heavy metal—anything is possible at a Neonautica show. Visit https://neonauticamusic.com/theband for more information about the band.
The concert is free and open to faculty, staff, students and the public.
