McNeese hosts Kreisler workshop and lecture

The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host a free workshop and lecture featuring artist Rebecca Kreisler on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The workshop will be held from 11 a.m.-1:50 p.m. in Room 130 of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex and will feature a demonstration of the creation of a paper sculpture form called a stellated octahedron.
At 5 p.m., she will present a lecture in Room 113 of the SFAA detailing her artistic work and influences.
Kreisler is an art instructor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from the University of Georgia and her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from Louisiana State University.
