McNeese hosts Bryan Miller senior recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior trumpet recital by Bryan Miller, of Orangefield, Texas, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in Tritico Theatre of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.
The program includes: “Sonata for Trumpet” by Henry Percell, “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J.S. Bach, “Sonate Pour Corner et Piano” by Thorvald Hanson, “Giá il sole dal Gange” by Allesandro Scarlatti, “Scottisches Lead” by Ludwig Van Beethoven and “A Trumpeter’s Lullaby” by Leroy Anderson. He will be accompanied by Dr. Ulysses Loken on piano, soprano singer Amy Phillips and Gabriel Gonzales and Isaiah Windsor on trumpet.
Miller, a music education major, is the drum major of The Pride of McNeese Marching Band and a member of the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band.
