McNeese Faculty Recital Set

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free recital by McNeese faculty members Judy Hand, on flute, and Lina Morita, on piano, at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Squires Recital Hall.
The performance will feature “Allegretto” by Benjamin Godard, “Joueurs de flûte, Op. 27” by Albert Roussel, “Winter Spirits” by Katherine Hoover, “Concerto for Flute and Harp, K. 299” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and “Sonatine for Flute and Piano” by Walter Gieseking. Jane Clark will assist on harp.
Hand is an associate professor of flute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts in flute performance from Louisiana State University.
Morita is an associate professor of piano. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, her Master of Music degree from Rice University and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music.
