McNeese 2024 Homecoming Activities
McNeese State University’s 2024 homecoming week “Pokes on the Bayou” is set for Oct. 27 through Nov. 2. All students, alumni and Cowboy fans are invited to attend festivities throughout the week.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, the “Bayou Bounce” at Urban Air Adventure Park will be from 8:30-11:30 p.m. All attractions, including a ropes course and arcade, are free for students.
Don’t miss the “Movie on the Bayou” event to watch a showing of “The Princess and the Frog” on Monday, Oct. 28, from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Quad.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the homecoming parade will roll down Ryan Street at 7 p.m. After, come out to cheer on the Cowboys at the pep rally in Cowboy Stadium. The Grand Marshal of the parade is Christy Papania-Jones, the founder and executive director of St. Nicholas Center for Children.
The muddy, competitive tradition, the Oozeball tournament, returns on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 3-7 p.m. on Frasch Hall’s front lawn. Students can register a team to participate.
On Thursday, Oct. 31, students can have a parking ticket under $25 forgiven for Amnesty Day. The Student Government Association sponsors this event which will take place in the New Ranch, Hardtner Hall and the field house.
Also on Thursday, a Halloween headphone disco and costume contest will be held from 5-8 p.m. in the Recreation Complex.
On Friday, Nov. 1, all are invited to the NPHC Stroll Off in the Recreation Complex at 5 p.m. Admission is $7 for the public, $2 for students and $5 for Greeks.
Also on Friday, the Cowboy Block Party featuring a free Rusty Metoyer concert will kick off at 7 p.m. in the Alumni Pavilion.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, the student tailgate will start at 3 p.m. in the Legacy Lot. At 7 p.m. the Cowboys will face off against Texas A&M – Commerce in Cowboy Stadium.
