McNeese 2022 Works on Paper Exhibit Set to Open

The 35th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition will open with a reception honoring the exhibiting artists from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in the Grand Gallery of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex at McNeese State University.
The exhibit, which runs through May 6, is sponsored in part by the McNeese Student Art Assessment.
Serving as the juror for this year’s exhibition is Jennifer Dasal, creator and host of the ArtCurious podcast. For this year’s display, Dasal has selected 70 works representing 47 artists from across the U.S. Pieces include drawings, paintings, etchings, engravings, photographs, paper sculpture and mixed media pieces. Dasal will also be giving a special virtual talk that will be available to view at www.mcneesevis.art and www.facebook.com/McNeeseVisArt.
Two photographs by McNeese student Dan Plummer, were selected to be included in the collection.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday. For more information, contact the department at 475-5060.
