Birthday Blowout For McNeese’s 85th

McNeese State University is celebrating 85 years with a Birthday Blowout! The Flamethrowers will rock the Bulber Lawn on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to this free event with free popcorn and cotton candy, along with a bounce house for the kids. There will be a beer corral and food trucks. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m.

McNeese first opened its doors in the fall of 1939 with 140 students and just three buildings. The concert will take place in front of Bulber Auditorium that is one of the original buildings on campus and is a striking example of Art Deco architecture that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
