Author Katie Cortese to Give Fiction Reading


Author Katie Cortese will give a free fiction reading at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Business Conference Center at McNeese State University.
Cortese is the author of the short story collections “Make Way for Her and Other Stories” (2018) and “Girl Power and Other Short-Short Stories” (2015). Her stories and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Indiana Review, Blackbird, Gulf Coast, Wigleaf, The Baltimore Review and Family Resemblance: An Anthology and Exploration of 8 Hybrid Literary Genres.
She received her doctorate from Florida State University and a Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University. Currently, she teaches in the creative writing program at Texas Tech University, where she also serves as the fiction editor for Iron Horse Literary Review.
