Banners 2023 Presents: The Moonlit Princess

The Moonlit Princess is a full puppet show based on a Persian fairytale directed, and designed by acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Afsaneh Aayani. The Moonlit Princess combines table-top puppetry, shadow puppetry, original music, and movement to create a magical story to bring to the families.

Aayani got her BFA in puppetry from The Art University of Tehran and she is excited to share her passion with the audience. This project has been a brain child of Aayani for several years and it wasn’t until She received a grant from HAA where she was finally able to produce this show.
