McNEESE STATE UNIVERSITY

History and political science students had a unique opportunity to meet a member of Congress and ask questions on a wide variety of topics during an hour-long conversation with U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy.
Senator Cassidy gave the students an overview of his path from physician and medical school faculty member to public service. He also encouraged students to apply for internships in his Washington, D.C., office.
During the six-week internships, college students are assigned meaningful projects that can include in-depth research on topics before Congress.
