Rachel Walls Senior Recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior recital by Rachel Walls, mezzo soprano, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, in Ralph Squires Recital Hall.

The recital will include performances of “Quia respexit” by J. S. Bach, “Recit: E pur così in un giorno” by G. F. Handel, “Vershwiegene Liebe” by Hugo Wolf, “Frühlingsglaube” by Franz Schubert, “Nocturne” by Cesar Frank, “Mandoline” by Claude Debussy and others. HaeJu Choi, piano, Rebecca Harris, soprano, and Nina Rodriguez, mezzo soprano, will assist.

Walls is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in music vocal education at McNeese. She has been a member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and McNeese choir. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a master’s degree in vocal performance and pedagogy.
