McNeese Students Win Leaders of Tomorrow Essay Contest

Six McNeese State University students recently won the Leaders of Tomorrow essay contest at the Americas Energy Summit and Exhibition in New Orleans.
The winners from McNeese College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics are chemical engineering majors Ashby Todd from Lake Charles, Darcy Lavergne from Roanoke and Jacques Leger from Mamou. The winners from the College of Business are Seth James, an accounting major from Lake Charles, Alejandra Garza, a finance major from Brownsville, Texas, and Anh Nguyen, a finance major from Lake Charles.
The Leaders of Tomorrow essay contest was open to students from McNeese, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Tulane University and University of Houston. The winners will have an internship opportunity.
Some of the students are part of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Certificate program. The 18-credit hour certificate is a collaboration between the College of Business and the Department of Engineering and Computer Science that provides students with an opportunity to learn specifically about the LNG business.
