McNeese 2019 Homecoming Court Named

McNeese State University students Hailey Goodwin, a nursing senior from Lake Charles, and Steven Gros, an agricultural sciences senior from Napoleonville, have been named McNeese’s 2019 Homecoming Queen and King.

The royal pair and court were presented during halftime ceremonies at the McNeese Cowboys vs. Houston Baptist Huskies football game on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Cowboy Stadium.

Goodwin is the daughter of Moby and Pamela Goodwin. She is a Blue and Gold Peerleader, a member of Chi Omega Sorority, president of the Greek Unity Board and Panhellenic Association and a McNeese Student Alumni Ambassador.

Gros is the son of Norris “Spanky” Gros and Paige Burns. He is president of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the Inner Fraternity Counsel.

Other court members are: Keontae Anderson, Vinton, Andrew Eakin, Sulphur, Hailey Goodwin, Lake Charles, Steven Gros, Napoleonville, Maggie McBride, Lake Charles, and Ashlee Sebren, Eros, seniors; John Dalton, College Station, Texas, Kinley Holmes, Sulphur, Jordan Latham, Moss Bluff, and Gavin Nettles, Lake Charles, juniors; Robert Hall, Shreveport, and Breanna Newell, Opelousas, sophomores; and Maycie Fuselier, Elton, and Jake Latham, Moss Bluff, freshmen.

Anderson, son of Kevin Anderson and Chelsea Budwine, is a biological science major. He is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of the Pre-Medical Society.

Eakin, son of Billy and SarahJane Eakin, is a health and human performance major. He is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the Physical Medicine Society.

McBride, daughter of Lee and Barrette McBride, is a health and human performance major. She is vice president of Chi Omega Sorority, president of Tennis on Campus and a member of the Newman Club.

Sebren, daughter of Wes and Stacey Sebren, is an agricultural sciences major. She is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Chi Omega and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry.

Dalton, son of Bob and Linda Dalton, is a mass communication major. He is a member of the executive council of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, vice president of the Newman Club and a student manager for McNeese baseball team.

Holmes, daughter of Billy and Kim Holmes, is a mass communication major. She is a cheerleader and a member of Chi Omega.

Jordan Latham, daughter of Jeff and Becky Latham, is a biological science major. She is director of sisterhood for Chi Omega, vice president of the Pre-Dental Society and a Blue and Gold Peerleader.

Nettles, son of Ryan and Candice Nettles, is a health and human performance major. He is a Blue and Gold Peerleader, a member of the Physical Medicine Society and past president of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Hall, son of Robert and Rosalyn Hall, is an agricultural sciences major. He is a member of the NAACP and a Blue and Gold Peerleader.

Newell, daughter of Lee and Carolyn Moses Newell, is a radiologic sciences major. She is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Chi Omega and the Newman Club.

Fuselier, daughter of Peter Fuselier and Denise Hollingsworth, is a radiologic sciences major. She is a member of the Newman Club, Chi Omega and Kappa Lambda Society.

Latham, son of Jeff and Becky Latham, is a biological science major. He is a member of Kappa Sigma and the Pre-Dental Society.
