Louisiana National Guard Declares Mission Accomplished for On Campus COVID-19 Clinic
After nearly eight months of successful service, the Louisiana Army National Guard (LANG) has closed the COVID-19 clinic located at McNeese State University.
“Our mission at McNeese has been a huge success and LANG is very thankful to be a part in assisting our community through this pandemic,” says Staff Sgt. Johnwesley M. Biswell. “We would like to thank every McNeese staff member for taking such great care of each and every soldier that worked at this site. Southern hospitality definitely isn’t something McNeese lacks!”
LANG administered approximately 745 vaccinations through the clinic, as well as approximately 1,216 COVID-19 tests.
“On behalf of the campus community, I would like to thank LANG for its service,” says McNeese Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Chris Thomas. “It allowed us to focus on serving students and we were able to provide this service without an extra burden on our own resources.”
