McNeese Hosts Katie Williams for Fiction Reading

Author Katie Williams will give a free fiction reading at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in the Business Conference Center at McNeese State University. This reading is sponsored by the McNeese Honors College and the Department of English and Foreign Languages.
Williams is the author of “The Space Between the Trees” (2010), “Absent” (2013) and her latest book, “Tell the Machine Goodnight” (2018). Her short stories have been published in The Atlantic, Best American Fantasy, Prairie Schooner and Indiana Review.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Michigan and her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches writing and literature at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, California.
