McNEESE STATE UNIVERSITY
McNeese students, faculty and staff and the Lake Charles community enjoyed live music, games and food truck fare at the first Pokes in the Oaks celebration hosted by the Student Government Associaton.
McNeese’s Zyde-Pokes, Rusty Metoyer and the Zydeco Crush, and the Chris Crump Trio kept that music playing while the crowd danced and participated in some friendly volleyball and lawn games.
The Pride of McNeese Marching Band, the Cowgirl Kickers and cheerleaders led the crowd in the university fight songs, “On McNeese” and “Joli Blon.”
