Description

The Office of Residence Life is seeking a qualified graduate student to coordinate and manage the social media of Residence Life.

Compensation:

  • $11.11 an hour (for up to 18 hours a week)
  • Graduate Assistants who are employed through the Office of Human Resources & Student Employment are allowed credit for one-half of the tuition portion of their fees.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Social Media Manager

  • Create, review, and edit flyers for programs and events of Residence Life and RHA.
  • Send out flyers/correspondence via Res Life emails and make Instagrams posts after final approval from Residence Life director.
  • Other duties pertaining to social media management.
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Canva
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Instagram

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Residence Life.
  • Assist with some Residence Life & RHA programming.

Qualifications

Eligibility and Additional Considerations:

  • Students enrolled in a graduate program are eligible to apply.  Further consideration may also be given to graduate students pursuing a degree program and research focus with direct connection to the duties described above.
  • Ability to serve an academic calendar year.
  • Ability to attend Res Life staff meetings.

  • Preferred Majors: Graphic Design, Marketing, Mass Communication

The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation.
