SBDC Offers Government Contracting Workshop
A free workshop titled “Building Wealth Through Government Contracting” will be offered to Southwest Louisiana small business owners from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at the McNeese State University SEED Center.
The workshop, sponsored by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at McNeese, will be led by Louisiana district Small Business Administration representatives. Residents of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis parishes are encouraged to attend.
“The U.S. government is the world’s largest consumer of goods and services. This is a special opportunity for small businesses to learn how to become governmental vendors,” says Susan Thibodeaux, LSBDC at McNeese director.
Participants will learn how the government buys goods and services, how to register their business with the U.S. System for Award Management and how to search, bid and obtain federal contracts using best practices. To pre-register or for more information, go online at www.louisianasbdc.org (search under Training) or call 337-475-5529.
