McNeese to Host Harp Concert

McNeese State University’s W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a concert by members of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Harp Society at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in the McNeese Band Hall. The performance is a part of this year’s Faculty/Guest Artist series.
A standing tradition of over 40 years, this concert will feature the works of composers Georges Bizet, Claude Debussy, Louise Trotter, Samuel Milligan, Henriette Renie’ and Carlos Salzedo. Several folk song arrangements will also be included, as well as performances by guest soloists Gemma Campbell, Moss Bluff, and Aliya Kattash, Lake Charles.
Performers are Kathleen Evans, Sulphur; Carlyn Fullington, Iowa; Melissa Lange, DeRidder; Patricia Horvath, Moss Bluff; and Carla Breaux, Jane Clark, Jessica Dupuis and Barbara Belew, Lake Charles.
