McNeese Hosts Lancon Senior Recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior recital by Emmie Lancon of Lake Charles at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.
Lancon, a vocal performance major, will perform the works of a variety of composers including Richard Strauss, G.F. Handel, Lori Laitman and Enrique Granados.
At McNeese, Lancon has been a soloist with the Chamber Singers and has participated in various McNeese theatre and opera productions including the leading role of Kate in “Kiss Me Kate” and the role of Gretel from “Hansel and Gretel.” She is a recipient of the Dr. Sam Emerson Endowed Music Scholarship.
