McNeese hosts Darren Hooper senior recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior euphonium recital by Darren Hooper, of Lake Charles, at 7 p.m. Monday, March 26, at St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church.
The program includes: “Annie Laurie” by Arthur Pryor, “Concert Fantasie” by Gustav Cords, “Sextet in E-flat minor” by Oscar Boehme, “Sonatine for Trombone and Piano” by Jacques Castérède, “Promenade and Bydlo” from “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky and “Concertino No. 1 in B-flat major” by Julius Klengel.
He will be accompanied by Lina Morita on piano, Victor Medina on cornet, Jacob Bridges and Mikayla Dupont on trumpet, Andrew Usie on trombone and Roxie Davis on French horn.
Hooper, a music performance major, is a member of The Pride of McNeese Marching Band, Wind Symphony, Pep Band, Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha.
