McNeese hosts Christopher Lowe fiction reading

Author Christopher Lowe will give a free fiction reading at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, in the Stokes Auditorium of Hardtner Hall at McNeese State University. This reading is part of the Guest of the Program Series sponsored by the McNeese Department of English and Foreign Languages.
Lowe is the author of “You’re the Tower: Essays” (2016), “When You’re Down by the River: Stories” (2014) and “Those Like Us: Stories” (2011). His forthcoming publication, “A Guest of the Program: Stories” is the winner of the 2017 Iron Horse Literary Review chapbook competition. His fiction has appeared in Beecher’s Magazine, Baltimore Review, New Plains Review and more.
Originally from Mississippi, Lowe earned a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women and a Master of Fine Arts degree from McNeese. He is currently an assistant professor of creative writing at McNeese as well as the co-nonfiction editor for Midway Journal.
