Cullen and Morita Joint Recital Set

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a joint faculty recital featuring Sarah Cullen, violin, and Lina Morita, piano, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in Tritico Theatre.
The free performance will feature works by Brahms, Grieg, Chopin and Vivaldi.
Cullen, an adjunct faculty member, has degrees in violin performance from the University of Iowa and DePaul University in Chicago. She has performed with orchestras in Chicago and Houston and was a longtime member of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra in Davenport, Iowa. She currently plays with the Lake Charles Symphony.
Morita, an associate professor of music, has performed as a concerto soloist throughout the world and in New York City’s Carnegie Hall. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, her Master of Music degree from Rice University and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music.
