The McNeese State University 2018 Fall Career and Internship Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the Recreational Complex on campus. McNeese students of all majors and classifications, as well as alumni, can participate.
This year’s theme is “My McNeese, My Career.” The career fair is a great opportunity for employers to connect with students and alumni seeking full-time jobs, co-op positions and internships, according to Lindsley Burgess, coordinator of the McNeese Career and Student Development Center.
“Rather than sending out resumes or filling out applications online, this really gives students and alumni the opportunity to connect and network face-to-face right here on campus,” says Burgess. “Even if a student isn’t looking for a job right now, this still can provide valuable experience connecting with employers in the future.”
Attendees should dress professionally and bring copies of their resumes, adds Burgess.
More than 70 employers have signed up for the fair. Sponsors include: Aflac; Amerisafe Inc.; Domino’s Pizza; Indorama Ventures Olefins; Northwestern Mutual; PPG Industries; and Sasol USA Corp.
A list of all participants can be found online at www.collegecentral.com/mcneese.
