The Student Organizations Committee is responsible for working with student groups on issues pertaining to recognition and conduct of organizations on campus. The committee serves only as a final appellate body to review decisions of the Office of Student Services regarding 1) denials of group applications for recognition and 2) imposition of sanctions on recognized student organizations. The Student organizations Committee is composed of employee representatives from Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (3), Faculty (2), Office of Chief Diversity Officer (1), and one student representative from each classification of student organizatiooons including academic, chartered, Greek, honors, multicultural, professional, special interest, religious, service, and political. This committee is chaired by a member of the faculty and reports to the Provost and Vice President of Administration and Student Affairs.
