The College of Engineering was established in 1972 to provide professional education consistent with the mission of McNeese State University. The College is home to the Department of Chemical, Civil & Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.
The Department of Chemical, Civil & Mechanical Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with concentrations in Chemical, Civil, and Mechanical engineering and a Master of Engineering degree with concentrations in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering and Engineering Management. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a concentration in Electrical engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Electronics, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. All undergraduate engineering programs are accredited by ABET. They combine the breadth and depth of engineering and technology fundamentals with the practical, hands-on aspect of the profession and that make our graduates very competitive among their peers.
The College of Engineering is proud to have an excellent faculty, with exemplary qualifications and accomplishments and many years of industrial experience ready to serve the students both inside and outside the classroom. Our well-equipped facilities are kept up-to-date, and serve our needs and the needs of industry well.
