Visiting Overview

If you're pursuing a degree at another college or university but are interested in taking classes at McNeese and transferring those credits to your home institution, you're considered a visiting student.

Note: Before you start the application process, make sure meet admission requirements.

It's important to note that, as a visiting student, your enrollment is limited to the term your application is approved for, and you are not eligible for financial aid since you are not considered degree-pursuing student at McNeese. If you want to transfer to McNeese, you will have to meet the admission requirements and apply as a transfer student.

How to Apply

To attend as a visiting student, it's as easy as applying for admission.

After You Appy

  • Pay a nonrefundable $20 application fee after you receive notification that your application has been processed.
  • Submit Proof of Immunization Compliance Form
  • (Males ages 18-25) Submit a copy of your draft card.
  • (Optional) Apply for financial aid and scholarships at fafsa.gov. McNeese's FAFSA school code is 002017.
  • (Optional) Apply for on-campus housing at www.mcneesereslife.com.
  • (Optional) Purchase a commuter or residence campus dining meal plan at https://mcneesedining.sodexomyway.com/en-us/.

Note: While not required for admission, college transcripts and ACT/SAT scores may be required for placement in certain courses.

Ms. Anna Grace Bizzle is an Academic Advisor for the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University. Her favorite part of advising at McNeese is being a resource for students as they get used to the expectations of college and helping students pursue their degrees at such a wonderful school.
