I serve as the voice of 92,000 students, which sounds daunting, but it is an obligation that I take seriously.”
The ULS Board of Supervisors is the management board over nine public universities including Grambling State University, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Louisiana Lafayette, University of Louisiana Monroe and the University of New Orleans.
Brown is looking forward to working on policies and initiatives that will enhance the student experiences on all ULS campuses. He plans to advocating for greater affordability and accessibility of education, promoting impactful student support services, ensuring student housing is safe and secure and making sure that universities are committed to a strong focus on career readiness post-graduation. He says that student perspectives are crucial in shaping the future of the ULS and higher education.
