McNeese Rodeo at Northeast Texas College Rodeo

Both McNeese State University men and women’s rodeo teams took fifth place at the recent Northeast Texas College Rodeo in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

In saddle bronc riding, Ryder Sanford, Carlyss, took first place.

In bareback riding, Sandro Ferretti, Noves, France, placed third, Layne Graham, Jay, Oklahoma, placed fifth and Waylon Bourgeois, Church Point, finished sixth.

In steer wrestling, William Heinen, Lake Charles, placed fifth, while Gabe Soileau and Gavin Soileau, both from Bunkie, tied for seventh.

In team roping, Kody Hendricks, Green Cove Springs, Florida, finished eighth.

In goat tying, Kati Murphy, Bell City, placed second.

In barrel racing, Elizabeth Broussard, Estherwood, placed fifth.

In breakaway roping, Ashleigh Young, Mansfield, Texas, tied for fifth.
