McNeese College of Business Earns AACSB Reaffirmation of Accreditation
The McNeese State University College of Business has earned reaffirmation of accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business for an additional five years from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, according to Dr. Shuming Bai, dean of the College of Business.
Less than 5% of business schools worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB accreditation. McNeese’s College of Business has been accredited by AACSB International since 1989.
“AACSB is the gold standard of accreditation among top business schools internationally. Earning this distinction signifies that the College of Business at McNeese State University delivers the finest business programs to our students and places the college in an elite group,” said Bai. “Through a rigorous peer-review process, this hard-earned reaffirmation ensures the college’s commitment to quality business education that is innovative, competitive and impactful as the final product of continuous and collaborative faculty efforts.”
Every five years accredited institutions undergo a continuous review process that includes internal assessment, engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor and peer-reviewed evaluations. Business schools develop a plan that aligns with AACSB’s accreditation standards that focus on excellence in areas relating to innovation, curriculum relevance and academic and professional engagement.
As the longest-serving and largest global accrediting body for business schools, AACSB connects lifelong learners, educators and businesses worldwide. Schools that have earned AACSB accreditation demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development and student learning. Today, there are 950 business schools in 59 countries and territories that maintain AACSB accreditation.
