First Choice Campaign

Gov. John Bel Edwards, state and local officials attended an event in Lake Charles last week to celebrate economic development initiatives in Southwest Louisiana and to officially launch the McNeese First Choice campaign.
Industry partners are investing in McNeese and the future of Southwest Louisiana through the First Choice Campaign, a three-year initiative with a goal of raising $1 million per year for three years for sustaining growth and self-sufficiency.
The first partner in the First Choice Campaign is Waste Management.

Providing high quality educational programs requires resources.
Funds raised through this campaign will be used to hire faculty and upgrade labs in high demand academic areas while the university implements a strategic plan to increase enrollment and retention over the next three years.
