Two McNeese State University Student Affairs professionals and a McNeese student brought home a few awards from the annual conference of the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (LACUSPA).

The association is the leading professional development association for student affairs professionals in Louisiana.

Bralyn Simmons, director of student activities, received the Rising Professional of the Year Award. The award is presented to a professional with five years or less of experience who demonstrates outstanding achievement in promoting the ideals and principles of LACUSPA.

Nancy-Leigh McIntyre, executive assistant to the senior vice president for student affairs, received the Outstanding Graduate Professional of the Year. She is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree while working full time.

Lianne Montelibano, the McNeese Student Government Association vice president, is the LACUSPA Gold Scholar. This is the highest academic honor awarded by LACUSPA and applicants are judged based on their academic performance, campus leadership and contributions to student affairs practices.
