McNeese State University graduate, Anna Broussard, has been named the 2025 Outstanding Student of the Year by the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT).
Broussard, a May 2025 radiologic sciences graduate from Lake Charles, is recognized as the top radiologic sciences student in Louisiana. This competitive honor is awarded to an individual who demonstrates exceptional academic achievement, clinical excellence, leadership and service to both the profession and the community.
She consistently made the McNeese President’s Honor List and Honor Roll and was named as the Outstanding Undergraduate Student from the College of Nursing and Health Professions at the May 2025 Commencement Ceremony.
Her clinical training included rotations at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital and West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. As a radiology extern at CHRISTUS Ochsner, she strengthened her skills while demonstrating a strong dedication to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Broussard served as president of the McNeese Radiologic Technology Student Organization. Her other campus involvement included being a Peer Leader, an Alumni Ambassador, a Panhellenic executive board member and the 2023 McNeese Homecoming Queen.
“Anna exemplifies everything the LSRT Outstanding Student of the Year Award stands for – academic excellence, leadership, clinical competence and service to others,” said Greg Bradley, program director for the McNeese Radiologic Sciences program. “She is a compassionate, motivated and service-driven professional who will no doubt continue to make a meaningful impact in the field of radiologic sciences.”
With this award, Broussard joins a distinguished group of radiologic sciences students across Louisiana who have been recognized for their excellence and commitment to advancing patient care and the imaging profession.
