Assistant Professor, LPN to BSN Advisor
Dr. Higgins is a Certified Nurse Educator with her BSN from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, her MSN in Nursing Education at McNeese State University, and her PhD in Nursing Education and Administration from William Carey University. Her nursing experience includes medical–surgical setting, ortho/neuro/stroke, inpatient rehab, wound care, and nursing professional development. Her teaching and research interests include clinical skills, professional concepts, critical thinking strategies, student support services, and peer mentorship.
