Dr. Patrick Allison Jr. received his MS and PhD from West Liberty University and the University of Mississippi, respectively. His research interests include astacology (the study of crayfish/crawfish), species delimitation, taxonomy, conservation genetics, and ecology. He also enjoys educational outreach and works closely with natural science museums, conservation groups, and federal/state agencies to increase public knowledge and awareness of crawfish conservation.
