Kathy Jones

Instructor, Dept. of History

History

Ms. Kathy Jones graduated with a B.A. in History from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She subsequently earned an M.A. in Public History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, concentrating in museum studies. She has previously worked at various public history institutions including the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock, the Central Arkansas Library System, Historic Arkansas, the Arkansas Humanities Council, and the Kentucky Historical Society. While attending the University of South Carolina, she completed all of the required coursework towards a Ph.D. in American History but did not complete a dissertation. Since coming to McNeese, she has taught the American history survey classes and Introduction to Public History. Her interests include Public History, the American Revolution, and the study of historical memory.

  • HIST 350: Introduction to Public History
