Dr. Cunzhi Zhao is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at McNeese State University, where he leads the Power and Microgrid Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. Dr. Zhao’s research focuses on enhancing the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of modern power systems through advanced energy technologies. His expertise includes microgrid energy management strategies, battery degradation modeling, power system optimization, and the integration of smart grid solutions.
