Faculty Spotlight: Charles McNeely

Charles McNeely is an Associate Professor of Theatre and Coordinator of the McNeese Theatre Program. The 2019 fall semester marked his 25th year with the program. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from McNeese and a Master of Fine Arts in Drama and Communication from the University of New Orleans.

For the past two years, Charles has served as playwright and director for original, live theatre productions on Adolescence and Autism/Asperger’s in an effort to bring understanding to these misunderstood areas of life.

Charles is a recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Community Service and has served as state chair of the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival.
