Beginning on Monday, Aug. 21, McNeese State University’s Cowboy Closet will be open daily to provide students with free, gently used business clothing.
The Cowboy Closet has a selection of professional clothes, shoes and accessories that are all completely free and available to McNeese students. All students are welcome to utilize the Cowboy Closet, which is in the Burton Business Center, Suite 211B.
The Cowboy Closet now has a daily walk-in schedule to make using this resource easy for students. The Cowboy Closet is open on Mondays 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 3 p.m., Tuesdays 10 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m., Wednesdays 9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m., Thursdays 9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m. and Fridays 9 – 11 a.m.
The Cowboy Closet was first established in spring 2022 to alleviate McNeese students of the financial stressor of buying professional clothing needed for job interviews, internships, and other professional events. Since its opening in fall 2022, the Closet has provided gently used suits, slacks, scrubs, blouses and ties to many students.
The Cowboy Closet will continue providing professional clothing to McNeese students to help students take advantage of professional opportunities. Please contact Tammie Mayo for more information.
