Ethics Liaison

The Director of Internal Audit also serves as the Ethics Liaison for the Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics. The Ethics Liaison serves as a trained individual who assists McNeese with the laws and principles of the Code of Governmental Ethics.

Under Louisiana Revised Statute 42:1170, all Public Servants, whether compensated or not, shall receive a minimum of one hour of education and training on the Code of Governmental Ethics during each year of public employment. Public Servants includes all of our Faculty, Staff, and Student Workers who perform a University function. This Ethics training must be completed annually (every calendar year).

Each year, the Ethics Liaison coordinates with the Department of Human Resources and Student Employment to facilitate the administration of the required Ethics training to all university faculty, staff and student workers who are or will be employed greater than ninety days.
