On April 12-13, 2024, McNeese AIChE will be hosting the 2024 Southwest Regional AIChE Conference in Lake Charles, La! This event will have hundreds of chemical engineering students from the Southwest US and Central America in attendance. This Conference will include competitions such as ChemE Jeopardy, ChemE Car, Technical Paper, and Poster competitions as well as corporate talks, a career fair, and of course, crawfish! Before attending, please go over the AIChE Code of Conduct here to ensure a great and positive experience.

Crawfish Boil & Career Fair
Please join us on Friday, April 12th at 5:30pm to enjoy a Louisiana staple while having the opportunity to visit with all of our conference sponsors. View the event flyer here for more information!
ChemE Car Competition
To find more information about the ChemE Car competition, click this link. The competition will take place on April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The goal of this competition is to build a car that runs on a chemical reaction that has to travel a specific distance and competes against other cars.
ChemE Jeopardy Competition
ChemE Jeopardy will take place on April 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Students will be tested on their chemical engineering knowledge and will compete against other students. Rules can be found in the registration form.
Student Technical Presentation Competition (STPC)
The competition will take place on April 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM. In this competition, students will present a technical paper related to the research they have conducted as an undergraduate about a chemical engineering-related topic. They will compete against other students and the papers will be judged by a panel. Rules can be found in the registration form.
Poster Competition
The competition will take place on April 12, 2024, at 4:30 PM. Students will create a poster on a research project they have completed as an undergraduate on a topic related to chemical engineering. Students will compete against each other and the posters will be judged by a panel. Rules can be found in the registration form.
