Business Affairs
Date enacted or revised:
Enacted January 21, 2020

Policy:

To recognize educational achievements, full-time unclassified staff will receive a $500 base salary increase upon earning an initial master’s degree. Employees will not receive a salary increase for subsequent master’s degrees. The increase is not retroactive, unless otherwise specified, but becomes effective at the beginning of the fall or spring semester following that in which the credential was earned and the Office of Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management receives an official transcript. The increase will not be retroactive to dates prior to the initiation of this policy. All increases shall be accompanied by a memo to the appropriate Vice President initiated by the employee's supervisor following receipt of the new degree. The official transcript must be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management from the university awarding the degree. All salary increases must be approved by the governing board.
