McNeese’s Dr. Kristin Scott named ICSHRM Professional of the Year 2022  

Imperial Calcasieu Society of Human Resource Management (ICSHRM) recently named McNeese State University College of Business Assistant Professor Dr. Kristin Scott as the ICSHRM Professional of the Year for 2022. 

Dr. Scott’s exceptional work with award winning McNeese Student Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter and with her dedication to teaching and student engagement, has earned her this well-deserved recognition.  

Dr. Scott has been a full-time faculty member at McNeese since August 2018, where she has made a significant impact on both face-to-face and online students. She has taught a wide range of human resource (HR) courses. Her expertise in employment law, staffing, recruiting, performance management, and strategic human resources management has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of HR professionals.  

In addition to her role as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Scott also serves as the Chapter Advisor for the McNeese Student SHRM chapter, demonstrating her commitment to fostering student development and engagement in HR-related activities. 

Dr. Scott’s contributions to the field of human resources, her dedication to teaching, and her commitment to student engagement make her a deserving recipient of the ICSHRM Professional of the Year award for 2022. Her Endowed Professorship from the Calcasieu Parish Industrial Development Board Professorship for Industrial and Economic Development, awarded in November 2019, further reflects her outstanding achievements and recognition in the field.
