Homecoming Queen and King

McNeese State University students Sydney Broussard, a nursing senior from Hackberry, and Gunnar Goodwin, an engineering senior from Lake Charles, have been named McNeese’s 2018 Homecoming Queen and King.
The royal pair and court will be presented during halftime ceremonies of the McNeese Cowboys vs. Central Arkansas Bears football game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in Cowboy Stadium.
Other court members are: Khristian Anthony, Sulphur, Sydney Brown, Lake Charles, Austin Pottorff, Sulphur, and Shay Walker, Lacassine, seniors; Tyler Daigle, Welsh, Morgan Duck, Moss Bluff, Hailey Goodwin, Lake Charles, and Steven Gros, Napoleonville, juniors; Gavin Nettles, Lake Charles, and Amberly Thompson, Lake Charles, sophomores; Bailey Nelson, Lake Charles, and Adam Verrett, Lake Charles, freshmen.
Broussard is the daughter of Randy and Sabrina Broussard. She is a Blue and Gold Peerleader, a member of Phi Mu sorority and was a member of the 2017 Homecoming Court.
G. Goodwin is the son of Moby and Pamela Goodwin. He is president of Kappa Sigma fraternity, a Student Alumni Ambassador and a Blue and Gold Peerleader.
Anthony, son of Kareem Anthony and Felieciby Harris, is a biological science major. He is president of the National Society of Leadership and Success, keeper of records for the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and a student-athlete on the track and field team.
Brown, daughter of James Brown III and Rachel Chua, is a biological science major. She is past president of Chi Omega sorority, a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of the Pre-Medical Society.
Pottorff, son of Jimmy and Michelle Pottorff, is a criminal justice major. He is president of the Student Life Coalition, past president of Kappa Sigma and a Blue and Gold Peerleader.
Walker, daughter of Eric and Monica Walker, is a finance major. She is treasurer of Chi Omega, a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Cowboy Catholics.
Daigle, son of James and Nanette Daigle, is a general business administration major. He is a Student Life Coalition coordinator, a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Kappa Sigma.
Duck, daughter of Scott Patterson and Tara Duck, is an agricultural sciences major. She is co-captain of the Cowgirl Kickers, a Student Government Association representative and a member of Phi Mu.
H. Goodwin, daughter of Moby and Pamela Goodwin, is a nursing major. She is president of the Greek Unity Board, director of programming in Chi Omega and a member of the Cowboy Catholics and Order of Omega.
Gros, son of Norris “Spanky” Gros and Paige Burns, is an agricultural sciences major. He is vice president of student affairs of the Interfraternity Council, Speaker Pro-Temp of the Student Government Association and a member of Kappa Alpha Order and the Pre-Vet Society.
Nettles, son of Ryan and Candice Nettles, is a health and human performance major. He is a Blue and Gold Peerleader, a Student Alumni Ambassador and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Thompson, daughter of Burley and Eva Thompson, is an elementary education major. She is campus life and pop culture coordinator for the Student Life Coalition and a member of the NAACP student chapter.
Nelson, daughter of Scotty and Delta Nelson, is a mass communication major. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Verrett, son of David and Lisa Verrett, is chemistry major. He is a member of the Pre-Pharmacy Society and Cowboy Catholics.
