The tables listed in the 'Annual Security Report' and also listed in the 'Crime Statistics' tab, reflect the number of incidents for the crimes of homicide, manslaughter, forcible and non-forcible sex offenses, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, and arson that occur on or near campus for the previous three calendar years. Also included in the tables are arrests/disciplinary referrals for drug law violations, liquor violations, and weapon violations and bias-related crimes. The statistics include crimes reported directly to the University Police Department, to local law enforcement agencies, and to "campus security authorities." "Campus security authorities" are defined by the Clery Act as university officials who have "significant responsibility for student and campus activities, including, but not limited to, student housing, student discipline, and campus judicial proceedings." Professional mental health and religious counselors are exempt from reporting requirements.
